A Charter for Sussex

Let it be known, the people of Sussex will undertake responsibility for the general well being of our neighbours.

Let it be known the people of Sussex shall be guardians of our wildlife.

Let it be known the people of Sussex will, through custom support all local business.

What is it: We Wunt Be Druv - a people-powered movement to build a charter for change in Sussex.

Mission: To create a mandate for a new regional Mayoral Combined County Authority with an election for this role scheduled for May 2028.

How: Encouraging as many communities in Sussex to come together and give voice to their needs and vision, and the changes they want to see in how local and national politics works. To encourage wide, diverse, and engaged participation, a game in collaboration with Our House has been designed.

Where: Supporting communities in East and West Sussex and Brighton & Hove, to create their People's Charter.
